Karma Chameleon

I am currently writing a thesis paper for my Masters degree in Metaphysical Science, I have chosen the topic of Karma. I am learning so much and I'm not even done with all of my research yet!

First of all I found out that according to the Hindu religion, which is where the concept gained popularity, karma is the deed you do, not the outcome of the deed. We all think that karma is the consequence when it's the action that causes the consequence. So in essence "good karma" to a Hindu isn't a reward it's action that you do like charitable giving or helping a neighbor. They do believe that these deeds will be rewarded in either this life or the next one.

Now the Buddhists don't believe in good karma vs. bad karma, they just believe every cause has an effect and we label them good or bad based on if it's the effect we wanted (which they don't think is a very evolved thing to do). I'm with the Buddhists on this one. Karma is like the law of attraction, it doesn't have a judging will of it's own. It's not doled out by some higher being based on your worthiness. There is no favoritism when it comes to karma. Also like the law of attraction, we have little way of knowing when either will pay their cosmic dividend.

In reference to the good vs. bad idea, there is an old Zen (I think) story that goes like this: A man in the village is telling the wise man a story about a windfall he gets of a neighbor's horse. The villager says to the wise man, "isn't that fortunate?!" and the wise man says, "we'll see". The villager's son falls off the horse while riding it and breaks his leg, the villager says to the wise man, "isn't that unfortunate?!" and the wise man says, "we'll see". Then war breaks out in the area and the boy can't go to fight and risk his life because of the broken leg so the villager says to the wise man, "isn't that fortunate?!" and the wise man says, "we'll see."

I always feel that this story is trying to tell us that labeling things good and bad is a waste of our time and unnecessary. This really applies to karma. The idea of karma isn't to reap as many rewards as possible while avoiding punishment, it's meant to teach you how to live a good life. The best karma is no karma at all. You don't incur karma (which as I've come to see it, wrong or not, as a lesson that our spirit wants us to learn for our own peace and happiness) when you approach a situation selflessly and make the choice that supports your spirit. It's the ego that wants the "good karma", it's the spirit that wants no karma.

As a clairvoyant I can see karmic connections sometimes. Ones I have to others, ones others have to each other and it's never punitive, it's informative. It exists because your spirit is clear that you didn't understand the lesson when presented in another way and it's just trying a different approach. When I say lesson I don't mean "you need to be taught a lesson" in the punitive sense. I mean that when you sign up for human class there are things that are on the syllabus you have to master in order to pass that class, these are your lessons and karma is part of that.

So when I've talked about feeling different about the past through energy work, this is in part what I am talking about. You can watch a movie of the lesson with your clairvoyance as well as use it to learn the lesson because with clairvoyance it's like an open book test. Sure you can do it in the world as well with some varying degree of difficulty and success, but why not do as much as you can the easier way.

So, now on to more research for my paper.

Auras, what's up with that?

A common question for a lot of clairvoyants is "what color is my aura?" People ask this thinking that if it's blue, that is who you are: a blue aura person. This is not how I see it. Your aura changes color with your mood or with what you are going through in your life. Each color represents an emotion or activity or state of mind/heart. Most colors have universal vibrations that most of us feel the same way, but not categorically. A lot of people see red as passion, but I see it as pain or in survival mode. I see fuchsia as passion because it is infused with the life force energy of red along with the love of pink. I also see compassion as a peachy pink instead of just pink because yellow to me is the color of joy. I see compassion as being a mix of the love of life and love in general.

A lot more than just the color of your aura is important. You might have it pulled to close to you. This would cause people to not really "see" you. You might get cut in front of in line, cut off in traffic or be ignored in discussions of groups. I have pulled my aura in too close intentionally to see what it feels like and my ears ring and I feel a little dizzy, it's really trippy.

If you have it too big your energy gets all over everyone around you. This is very intrusive and obnoxious. If you are at a party and trying to be the center of it, your aura would be very big. People who always have to have everyone in the meeting hear and laugh at their dumb jokes have large auras. That obnoxious neighbor who keeps you at the door too long and talks too loud even when you tell them that your dinner is burning has a huge aura. Making my aura big on purpose makes me feel like I'm naked and alone in a gymnasium. Not my favorite feeling in the world. The right distance is about 12 inches all of the way around your body.

Another important factor about your aura is what isn't it covering? I found that when I first started doing this work I would subconsciously pull my aura too close to the top of my head. The crown chakra is the one on the top of your head (surprisingly on the crown of your head). It is associated with and creates your connection with your spirit and spirituality as well as spiritual groups. It is also known as the free will chakra. When a cult wants to control it's followers the leader plugs a cord of energy into this chakra which is why cult always deal with a level of spirituality. More on cords in a later post. My point is that I was shy about letting the world know of my new found spiritual path so I was trying to hide it by pulling my aura in really close to my head. I got really bad headaches during this time.

You can also have your aura pulled up above your feet. This causes you to make bad decisions, be impractical with money and it can even make you clumsy. Your feet are your connection to this world and if you are trying to avoid something you will try to be disconnected so that you can claim you just didn't know. All of this is subconsciously of course.

If your aura is too close to your back it may be a sign that you are afraid of your past or your burdens. Wherever your aura isn't, that is what you trying to avoid and energy work and seeing energy is almost always very literal. Our minds are literal, so the symbols we see tend to be. Or at least that is how it works for me.

You can have other people's energy in your aura which would affect the color and size. This is how a lot of sensitive people end up feeling someone else's pain. Some of us, and really all of us at some time, throw our energy at other people. We don't do it on purpose, unless we do. When we are in a parking lot and the person walking in front of our car with their cart is going snail pace slow you are probably going to throw a "hurry up!" at them. If they are ungrounded or have their aura pulled up above their feet they will continue to take their time. I don't know about you but I can feel people behind me that want me to walk faster. It feels like they are going to walk right over the top of me. Makes my skin crawl.

There is a couple of aura meditations coming up, so stay tuned...

Creation vs. Prediction

When I was younger I would have thought that the best thing about being clairvoyant is knowing what is going to happen, I couldn't have been more wrong. I will admit having a heads up on occasion is pretty cool, but I think if I knew too much I would either be sad or bored. See we tend to think that knowing what is coming up will afford us some kind of advantage and it sometimes does, but most often we don't like what is coming. It's easy to get caught up in the idea that we are going to see something great because we want something great to happen, but just being able to see what is coming isn't the same as being able to control what it will be.

I used to have a client who would ask when the man she loved was going to leave his wife. I never saw him leaving, but she would ask this EVERY READING! And I read for her once a week for about 6 months. It was nice to have a steady client, but I started running out of ways to tell her that what she wanted to happen wasn't what I was seeing. I tried to explain to her that her time with me would be better spent having me help her shift the energy that had her irrationally hung up on a married man. There was some karma there that she was not willing to look at because she was addicted to the idea that if she just looked long enough and wanted it bad enough that it would happen.

I really hate this part of a reading, when a person is so stuck on an idea that they just can't hear what you are saying. They think that by rephrasing the question or asking it in a slightly different way that the future will be tricked or that I just wasn't looking at it hard enough or in the right way. When a client tells me what they want to look at I watch their energy as they talk about it and I get way more about what is really going on for them emotionally than what their words say.

One of the things I like to hear when I've delivered less than positive news is, "what can I do to keep it from happening" or "what do I do if it does?" These are take action questions and it gives me a chance to actually help them. The ones who keep asking the same thing over and over hoping for a different answer are people who let life happen to them and are afraid to take the bull by the horns. I often say, "you want a different answer, ask a different girl" because very few things can wake them up. You see they don't know that they are letting life happen to them because that is the nature of having your head in the sand, you don't know it's in there. Don't get me wrong these are still some of the most intelligent people you might meet, but they are not living, they are getting lived. I should know, I used to be one of them.

When I started looking at my own energy and seeing the issues I had as, "okay, I have that, now what? Why is it that way? How can I make it be the way that I know will make me happy?" I found that I had the option to drive my life way more than I had ever imagined. I don't mean being a control freak and I also don't mean that the idea of doing that was my own. I ended up learning how to read and shift energy because life happened to me and dumped me somewhere that I got a chance to learn that. Sure it was my higher self doing the driving in that case but it was through no conscious effort on my part. I would still be stumbling blindly through life had I not made a handful of important decisions that seemed unimportant at the time. My point is I was lost and then was found, was blind but now I see!

The reason this is called Creation vs. Prediction is that when you get a reading you have the opportunity to ask your reader how you can become the best version of yourself instead of only asking what is going to happen and you will find what is going to happen gets less and less important. Once you are who you want to be and are meant to be you are happy. And once you are happy you can handle whatever happens. Happy people are magnetic for one thing. My ex-husband once said to me after we had split and were still friends, "I finally know what kind of woman I am attracted to ... happy ones."

Happy people are people who are responsible for their own happiness and don't need you to provide it for them. So who wouldn't want to be around a happy person? Who wouldn't want to be a happy person? Being a happy person is like having pump your own gas stations with fast pay (sorry Oregonians, this one only works if you live in a pump your own state - or travel). You aren't relying on the attendant or the cashier to take care of your fueling needs. You are free to pull up, slide your card, pump your gas and go! I love that! I am not obligated to smile at anyone, talk, or wait. I can even wash my own windows if it's what I want, FREEDOM! Maybe it's because I grew up in Oregon that this is such liberation, but that is what being a happy person gives you: liberation. And being able to see your own energy and do something about it when it just ain't quite right is one of the keys to that liberation. Can I get an Amen!

I feel I may have gotten a little off topic with that whole "pump your own" thing, but I feel really strongly about taking your life by the wheel. I'm not saying that you will only be happy forever more. And I'm also saying that you might need to be brave about things you see and hear. I got messages that my wonderful cat Ira was about to pass about a week before it happened. There was nothing I could do and the grief overwhelmed me for a time, but I at least had a little time to prepare my heart for the pain. It really taught me a lot about letting go.

Most of the time the only bravery that I have to put on is the kind that it takes to really look at yourself in an honest yet gentle way. If every time you look at a trait of yours as a fault, you are having trouble being honest yet gentle. You are doing yourself a disservice if every time you try to figure out why you talk a lot (those who know me, know this is a personal one) and instead of getting to the heart of any issues you just sit there feeling bad for all of the times that you talked someones ear off. Yes, this trait has been a barrier to connecting with people sometimes, but the only way to keep it from happening again is to get at the heart of why it happens. You can't change the past, but you can change how you feel about it and that is really where the power is anyway. It's your feeling about what has happened in the past that plagues you. Seeing yourself clairvoyantly gives you compassion for why you did what you did.

I always tell a certain someone in my life who is way too hard on herself that she is always doing the best she can. Even when we fail we are trying and that does count for something. We are all doing our best and hindsight is 20/20. It's just so easy to decide that you should have been perfect when you are out of the situation. When you do this to yourself are you realizing that being perfect in the situation was most likely what you were trying to do and just missed the mark? It's worth looking into why you think being this hard on yourself is how you deserve to be treated. If you treated someone else like that, they wouldn't stick around long.

So who do you want to be? It's in your hands and you can choose to let go of the things that stand in your way. It's all up to you...

The Secret about The Secret

Everyone is all a flutter about The Secret, or at least they were. And why wouldn't they be. A lot of people just saw the secret as, if I say I want a Porche, one will show up and by mine. Have you really never wished for a Porche before? There is so much that was left out of The Secret and it has to do with energy work.

Okay, so you wished for a
Porche and it didn't show up, why not. It's not just about positive thinking, which by the way is next to impossible to control. It's about positive FEELING. There is another book worth checking out call Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. Mr. Gladwell tells about how our brain works, we make snap judgments with more authentic emotion about how we really feel in less than the blink of an eye. Try controlling that! So you look at a Porche and all of the subconscious things you feel about your worthiness, money, status symbols and so on flood in and you try to override that with one happy thought that you think you should feel but really don't. Now where's my Porche
? See what I mean?

Now what you need to do is look
clairvoyantly at all of the beliefs that you have about why you don't have a Porche, don't deserve a Porche, don't want to be one of "those" people and shift them. Make way for beliefs about why you do have a Porche. You have to get really honest with yourself about how you really feel about owning a Porche
. You may need to do this several times over as new beliefs might bubble up after you shift out the old ones.

There is another additional technique from Lynn
Grabhorn that I really like in her book, Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting. She tells about making your energy vibrate at a joyful level and attaching that feeling to the things that you are trying to attract. She even has you speak aloud in the third person as if you are excitedly telling a friend about what happened. "Molly was so thrilled to see that book advance check in the mail that she went out and bought a yellow Porche
! Because she just loves yellow!" and so on. She has you imagine that you are in love when you are doing this joyful talking because it is a natural very high vibration.

I did this technique in addition to other techniques to attract my husband. It worked and he is wonderful. But I didn't just try to attract him, I tried to be ready when he got here. I looked at all of the reasons my past relationships hadn't worked, I focused on what beliefs I had about myself and what I was afraid of. To be honest I did this joyful talking thing only three times because I found that forcing yourself to feel excited makes you feel really low later, like you are drawing from a finite source. Or at least that's what happened to me.

I also found that it's really hard to generate that joyful energy when you don't really want the thing you are trying to attract but don't realize it. Like if you want a job because you need a job, but you don't really WANT a job. If you do find this happening, take note and try to figure out what it is that you do really want.

Forcing myself to be joyful while talking about the future and finding that it drained me also really helped me to let it go which is the final key that they really under emphasized in The Secret. Letting go is so important because it keeps you from being anxious. Remember that earlier post when I said that I saw something interesting about anxious energy and how it relates to manifesting? Well what it does is cause energy bubbles, like gas in your space. This happens when excitement turns to anxiety, not just when you are excited. What the bubbles do is they take up space, shoving your higher self out of your body,
ungrounding you and keeping the space for the thing you are trying to attract occupied. You can only fill an empty tea cup, as the saying goes. With your higher self nowhere near to tell you when to turn right for the opportunity to get your Porche, you never turn right. Without being grounded you don't make the good decisions that lead to the bonus check that would have bought the Porche
.

Not to mention that anxiety shows that you are not addressing some fear about receiving what you are wishing for. Anxiety comes from desperation, the feeling that it just has to happen. You can't let it go when you feel like that, you're too attached to it. You have to make peace with the possibility that it may never happen. I call it making peace with the alternative. If you let yourself be okay about the worst case scenario it helps you let go of the desperation. When I was attracting my husband using energy work I did a meditation where I saw myself as a single older woman who never married (or remarried in my case). I saw the long grey braid I've always wanted, I saw myself doing healing work on a woman with breast cancer, I saw the ranch I lived on with my horses and I was really happy. I told myself, "if this is my life without ever finding Mr. Right, I would be very happy with that." And I really felt that way. I knew that I would make a happy life for myself whether I met him or not because I wouldn't let not being with a man keep me from being happy.

So to recap: you need to know what you want, know how you feel about, shift the ways you feel about it that don't support you getting it, make yourself feel great about it, and let it go! Easy enough, right?

Oh the things I've seen!

Part of being clairvoyant means visions, some during a reading, some out of the blue. Because of their enlightening nature they often make me laugh. When you see what is REALLY going on under it all it makes so much sense that I laugh thinking, "Of course! How did I miss that?!"

Some things that I've seen were so weird that I needed the help of who I was reading to figure it out. One of my favorites was reading a friend as a rose. He and I were in a class together and I had just met him. We knew next to nothing about each other. I knew that he was a smoker and a retired architect, other than that, zippo.

When I went to read his rose I saw the most peculiar thing; the petals were black and white checker board. At first I told myself that I had messed up, shows you where my confidence was back then. When I said this to myself/my higher self, it wouldn't change. I realized that this was on purpose. So I thought, "well, I'll just tell him what I see." So I told him and as I said it I also found myself saying, "like a court jester's hat". As soon as I said that, he burst into laughter and said, "oh boy, that's me alright!" As I came to get to know him better I found that it couldn't have been more true. I also am a bit of a court jester and that is why I saw what I did, we had it in common.

I've seen past lives with both of my parents and my sister; my dad and I were Quakers together, my mom was my ballet coach in Russia, and my sister kept me company in a dungeon after my tongue was cut out. Each of these lives displayed dynamics that explain a lot about my relationship to each family member. Seeing things I've done or been is often very fun, but it's always enlightening. The main thing that I've seen/felt/know is that your past lives are only interesting to you because you have an energetic connection to them. So in an effort to not bore you, I'll give a quick list of some things that I've seen. I've been a cowboy, a princess, a rich spoiled brat, an artist, a monk, a nun, many peasants, an African tribesman who was telepathic with elephants, a woman who inherited a winery and was beat to death, and the list goes on.

I've known I was gonna win something many times. One of the funnier times I was actually at a psychic fair when I knew I was going to win. At the registration table everyone was given a raffle ticket and every hour a small prize was given away. When the voice would come on the loud speaker you had to strain to hear the name being called. I was at a hypnotherapy booth when I found myself saying, "hold on a minute." The speaker crackled on and we heard a voice say, "Molly Marchetti is this hour's winner." And I said to the person at the hypnotherapy booth, "that's me, I'd like to go see what I won." I don't even know why I said "hold on a minute", the speaker hadn't even come on yet! Needless to say everyone, including the friend I had gone there with, was stunned. I was stunned! I won an astrology program that was so complicated I've never been able to use it, but the experience has stayed with me.

I usually know when I am going to win at Tarot bingo. I am part of a Tarot meet up group that gets together once a month to talk Tarot and play bingo. We play for Tarot decks, books about the Tarot, and other Tarot oriented things. I've only won three or four times, but I usually knew when I was going to be me.

I also saw the future husband of my then roommate. I wasn't even intentionally looking for anything. We worked together but in different offices on the same floor. She worked for the management side of the business and I worked for development. She was the building's concierge and was in the lobby everyday for 2 hours. She would often come to my office before heading back to her own. My desk was the reception desk in front of two clear glass doors, I could see all of the way down the hallway. One of the people I saw on occasion was a tall good looking man in a uniform with salt and pepper hair and a nice tan. He always went into the other office so I never found out what kind of uniform he wore.

One night on the phone just before we moved in together she was lamenting how she was over 30 and saw no hope in sight of every finding Mr. Right. As I spoke to console her, saying that she was wonderful and would meet a great guy one day I realized that I was actually seeing something. I saw a man standing over her in her bedroom looking at her like he was the luckiest guy in the world. I could feel his intense adoration and her happiness. The man was the good looking tan workman from the building. I had seen him that day, so I chalked it up to that.

The next day she came into my office after her lobby shift glowing and grinning. The first thing she said was, "that Jake is so funny." (I changed his name for the purpose of this story). And I had no idea who she was talking about. I said, "Who's Jake?" She said, "the elevator repair man, you know that tall tan guy that comes into our office sometimes." I suddenly realized that this was the guy and that she in fact liked him, I hadn't yet told her that he was who I saw. So I asked her if he'd asked her out. She told me not yet, but she could tell that he wanted to. And here's the kicker, she said, "But you know my rule, I won't go out with anyone who works in the building and he does work here." I knew then that I had to tell her. So I blurted out, "HE'S THE GUY!" She look confused when she asked me what guy. I told her about the vision and that he was the guy and that she at least had to go on one date in case my vision was true.

They were married less than a year later.

I've seen lots of other stuff, I do give readings professionally so I am bound to see some interesting things. I try not to read people when I am not being paid to unless I am trying to find healing in myself. Sometimes I can't help it, some people project and others think loud, but I try to keep it to myself.

A few years ago I started seeing sparks of light on people. They get them when they are suddenly aware of wanting to figure something out or when they have an "ah Ha!" moment. I see the lights on myself sometimes too. I see them on actors on tv sometimes, but very rarely. I'm never sure if this is information that I should share. If freaks some people out.

I hope someday to see something remarkable for those of you reading this blog, and don't worry it won't end up in this blog unless I see you winning the lottery, I can't pass up that kind of press...

Visualize Whirled Peas...

The following is a short 10 minute guided meditation to help enhance your visualizing skills. Most of these meditations involve seeing/hearing/feeling/etc. energy and it helps for you to know what it will look like. Often when we start seeing clairvoyantly, we, I know I did, expect it to look differently than it does, this helps you see the nature of how it will look.

Protect yourself before you wreck yourself…

A lot of clairvoyants shut themselves down to their ability because of discomfort. They feel everyone’s energy around them all of the time, which can be really unpleasant because you can’t always control who you are around. Also they feel things like headaches, nausea, fear, exhaustion, etc. that are not their own. One thing that a lot of these people have never learned is how to protect your energy. If you do any of my guided meditations you may find an increased sensitivity to the energy around you, the following meditation will help protect you from taking on the energy of other people. The goal is to see, hear, know energy and not be debilitated by it.

I’d like to give you a little information about the meditation before you dive in. It’s based on a concept that many people are teaching, mostly graduates of The Berkeley Psychic Institute in the Bay Area. The key to this meditation is a rose. If you have not done the “Aide to Visualization” meditation and have any trouble with visualizing, you may want to do that mediation first. Also it might help to do the sizing your aura meditation first too because if your aura is too big or too small you might have difficulty with the protection meditation.

The rose is considered the universal symbol of love in the collective unconscious. The energy of a rose is the highest vibration of any flower. A rose made out of energy has that same vibration. So in this meditation a rose is going to act as an ambassador to the world on your behalf by absorbing any negative energy coming toward you. It will also act as a sort of subconscious reminder point of where your energy ends and another person’s begins.

Clairvoyants Are People Too

This post is a little nod to my big sis. We used to love that show, "Kids Are People Too." She even had the Tee-shirt. The other day we had a giggle over something stupid that I said that evolved into the joke, "strangers are people too." It got me thinking, one of the misconceptions about clairvoyants is that we are all so serious because of the stuff that we see. And, yeah, sometimes you see some horrible things, usually from past lives, but still. It's because of all of this serious work that we need to laugh.

Viewing energy and shifting it are so much better when you are in a lighthearted state. Energy just moves when it's at a higher vibration, and laughter is one of the highest. That is why laughter is the best medicine. People have laughed themselves well from cancer. I'll bet people have prevented cancer from laughing, but it's not just laughing that does it. It's the lightheartedness that induces laughter that is the key. It's the amusement of our human existence. We are funny, if you think about it. There are so many things that we humans do on a daily basis that if you were visiting you would think were pretty wacky.

My point is that clairvoyants aren't mystical beings that can't relate to things non-spiritual. I mean I like junk food and movies and computer games as much as the next person. We are people too because all people are clairvoyant! I guess I am just saying that sometimes because I do this for a living people expect a monk of sorts. I do meditate and do yoga and try not to give in to childish behavior, but I also sleep in when I can and watch Saturday Night Live and keep saying that one of these days I'm going to lose all of this weight that I gained, I just really like bacon.

Another thing about us being like everyone else is that sometimes people think that I am judging or looking down on the less spiritual things they talk about, believe me, nothing could be further from the truth. I don't only read spiritual books, I go to rock concerts, I watch Lost, and I am a huge fan of The Simpsons. I assure you that if you want to have a John Hughes Movie night or a Harry Potter marathon, I am your girl. Having said all of that, I would love to see a good movie/tv show that gets past lives right or shows how most of us really see energy or concentrates on the healing side of clairvoyance or most of all acknowledges that anyone can learn how to do this. I'm not sure how interesting it would be to anyone but me and a handful of others though.

I suppose I am not the yard stick by which to measure all of us.... but still, I am sure that other clairvoyants like bacon too.

Self-Healing

I came to learn about my clairvoyant side as a tool for self-healing. As I learned it, the less "issues" that you have clouding your vision (or distracting your spirit) the clearer you get information. It's really awesome because every time you shift an issue, you feel really joyful AND you feel more clear clairvoyantly!

I always associated the word "healing" with the would "wound", it never occurred to me that there are other things that need healing. We walk around with the energy of misunderstandings all of the time, it's part of being human. Every time we walk away from an experience still angry, or hurt or fearful it stays with us in our space (body, chakras, aura, etc.). It pulls our focus subconsciously all of the time. And we have thousands of these little moments floating around us pulling our focus all of the time. It gets worse when we encounter another situation that is dynamically the same. Because then our conscious focus is on it, but not really, our focus is on the pain or the anger or the whatever we held onto and we react the same way again, just adding more misunderstanding to the experience.

What we are supposed to be doing is seeing these experiences as they happen truthfully as if we are a blank canvas or an empty vessel, impossible, right? If we learn how to "view" the experience in this neutral state then we are able to shift the pain or anger or misunderstanding to understanding. You can view this clairvoyantly and energy work helps you to shift that energy. That is why you feel so joyful afterward because you are literally unburdening yourself. This is what I wrote about in my book that will be coming out soon (I hope) and what I teach. I am not claiming that it is my method, I am just claiming to understand it and it's power. It is my personal experience of this method's power that makes me want to share it with the world. It flat out changed my life for the better.

I am a huge advocate for self-healing of any kind. Any time you take on the task of dealing with your own issues as opposed to having someone else help you, it's going to be more powerful. I do admit there are times when you will get in your own way and truly do need a professional to help you, but if you are working on it yourself on a constant basis when you do need to call on someone to help, it will be so much easier. This is also why I like to teach this method because it really encourages you to take your life by the reins, in short it empowers you.

I'm not saying don't get readings from other people, by all means, you gotta start somewhere. But I encourage everyone to at least try working on their own energy. I thought I'd be a total failure at it and I couldn't have been more wrong. I know some people think that psychics and all that they do are ungodly, but this work brought me back to God in a way that I never thought possible. I think the more capable you make yourself of loving, and this work really does do that, the closer you become to God's goal for us.

I believe, body and soul, that being an advocate for self-healing is my purpose on this planet. It feels like I am meant to "rally the troops". I would never have known this if I didn't do this work on myself, and knowing my purpose is, well, awesome. There is plenty of room for all of us to become masters and be our own gurus. Let's hear it for enlightenment! Rah, Rah, Om!

The Truth About Clairvoyants

I guess all I can say is the truth about clairvoyants as I have discovered so far. I'm sure that I wont' be able to get to all of the things that even I know in this posting, let alone all of the things that I don't know (and lets face it, who knows when I'll get to those...)

One of the reasons that I wanted to write on this topic is that I feel that there is a lot of room for more information on the subject mostly because it differs from person to person. The one thing that I know is true of all people though, is that we are all clairvoyant to some degree. Some are born with a direct line of access to it and some need some guidance to develop their awareness of it, but everyone is born with at least a kernel of clairvoyance.

All of us see things differently and we see different things. The information won't be the same from clairvoyant to clairvoyant nor will the delivery system. Some folks hear the information, some see it, some feel it, some smell it, some taste it, some do all at the same time, some dream it, some have visions, sometimes it's not even possible to pin down how you got the information. We are all just reading energy and the energy is in whatever form it is in.

I don't know about other clairvoyants, but I need to meditate every day to keep in psychic shape. Don't get me wrong, I don't always manage to do it, but I know that I need to. I am so much clearer when I do. And being clear is the same as being clairvoyant. Not to mention that I see things that I wasn't even looking for. I learn so much just by meditating a little bit. I learn about me, about energy in general, about the people around me, etc. In fact the other day I saw the coolest thing about the energy of anxiety and why it is an obstacle to manifesting, look for it in detail in an upcoming posting.

It isn't always easy, reading, not for me at least. That's why in readings I ask a lot of questions. There is a lot of information out there and in order to impart what it is that the client is asking for we sometimes need a lot of cross referencing clues. It's also why some clairvoyants use cards. I find that it focuses the information really well.

I heard a psychic on a t.v. show say, "I read energy and sometimes thoughts, I don't just pull facts out of thin air." I really liked that level of realism in a show. I do watch the shows Medium and Ghost Whisperer, but I feel frustrated with how many things on them I don't recognize or feel are sensationalized for ratings. It's true a lot of clairvoyants see dead people, but they see a lot of other stuff too. It seems unrealistic to me that someone who can see dead people so clearly that they look like living people and she can talk to them doesn't seem to see the energy of the people around her.

I guess Medium is a little more realistic, but it still centers around the fact that she only sees crimes. I have one psychic friend who says that when she first got really open clairvoyantly she got all kinds of useless information like how much her check would be before she ordered her meal. I used to know what song would be on the radio right before it would come on, how helpful is that? It's not like there is some cosmic overlord shooting us bolts of information that we need to know NOW! It's more like you are open to seeing/sensing the energy around you and some of it is just there with no particular purpose. Thank goodness you can usually tell when this is happening. Questions in a reading help wade through some of this flotsam.

It's so much easier to say what a clairvoyant isn't because of all of the misinformation out there. I am really trying to keep this positive, but I find myself wanting to say, "we don't do this, and we aren't like that..."

We don't see everything that is going to happen all of the time. There are things that are meant to happen that may be less than pleasant. Knowing about these things can affect whether they happen or not. But I do admit that I really hate it when some smart ass says, "you're psychic, why didn't you know that was going to happen?" Personally, I don't want to know everything that is going to happen. Movies are really boring when you know everything that is going to happen, I'll bet life is the same way.

More on this subject later, it's just too big for one post.

My name is Molly Marchetti, and I am a clairvoyant

It feels like coming out of a closet of some sort, writing this blog. I have to be so careful who I tell, gage what kind of preconceived or negative beliefs they may have about what it means. I am often surprised at the open minds that I meet, though. It gives me hope.

I, like all of you, was born clairvoyant, because we all are. I, like so many others, didn't know. It took many experiences and some training to see it (or more feel it). While growing up, I actually thought that I had no intuition. That somehow I had been born without it. I always felt insecure and preferred to let my older sister do all of my thinking, since she seemed to want the job and was better at it than me.

I learned about clairvoyance in general in the realm of using it as a tool for healing. My ex-husband who had always been interested in New Agey pursuits (trying to go out of body at will, past life regressions, energy work, etc.) asked me to be a guinea pig for a healing method that he had just learned. Up to this point I was a bad subject for this sort of thing. I tried a past life regression and was unable to get past 11 years old in this life. I was crap at letting go and trusting anything and I was afraid of my own shadow. Trying new things was something I felt allergic to.

After one session of this kind of energy work that he was doing, that was anchored in clairvoyance I felt like a different person. A happier person. A free-er person. It was like breathing again. It was like I had been wearing a football helmet all of my life and he took it off of me. No wonder I was afraid all of the time, I was bound up in the head!

I later learned this same technique at his urging and found that one of the reasons I was so afraid all of the time was that I was very sensitive to the world around me but had no idea how to protect myself. Once I learned how to govern my own energy, I was in a position to start looking around at the world. Once I knew how to keep myself safe, exploration and new things became exciting and fun. I found that the reason I thought I had no intuition was that I never felt safe to use it. Feeling safe and protected in your own head and heart are so much more crucial than I had ever thought. I took control of me.

For me turning on that clairvoyant light switch was like stepping up to the plate and embracing the life that I was cowering from. It is something that was so exciting for me that I am still riding that wave.

I have learned much since that first healing by my ex-husband and I have even more to learn still. One of the things that I learned is that wisdom comes through me as I write, hence a blog. I also have a book that will (hopefully) be coming out soon.

But now, on with the show...
